Skateboarding, art, and high fashion have been commingling for quite some time now. Whether you speak of artists like Neckface, Andy Jenkins of Girl Skateboards, or pro skateboarders such as Lance Mountain producing their own works of skateboarding influenced art, or young bucks like Dylan Rieder and Ben Nordberg rocking high end fashion labels in their video clips. Skateboarding, art, and fashion are drawn to one and other. Recently filmmaker Aaron Rose called on the talents of pro skateboarders Austyn Gillette, Jerry Hsu, Josh Harmony, and some fashion models to produce a video for Nowness and French fashion mag L’Official Hommes titled New York LA LA LA. The shooting took place on the New York City prop stages of Universal Studios in Los Angeles. Check out the finished product above.
