Recently it was announced that Torey Pudwill, Brandon Biebel, and Nick Tucker have a new shoe sponsor: Diamond Footwear. This is quite the move for Diamond. Torey Pudwill is one of the best skateboarders in the industry and is just reaching his prime.

Torey Pudwill announced he was leaving DVS, his sponsor of 10 years, over the weekend. Biebel spent 15 years on Lakai. And Tucker had previously ridden for Supra.

The three announcements hit Instagram almost simultaneously. The Torey Pudwill pro shoe, the Torey, is available for pre-order now. Biebel’s model, the All Day, is coming soon.

Here is the official announcement from Torey Pudwill:

“Diamond Footwear has been making high quality footwear with some of the best footwear factories in the world for the past 5 years. I’ve always liked the quality and details Diamond had that I didn’t really see in other shoes. Last year they designed a few shoe samples that were made strictly for skateboarding and asked me to try out a pair. They were honestly the best shoes I’ve ever skated. With that being said, I would like to announce that I am officially on the Diamond Footwear Team. My new pro signature Diamond shoe, the Torey, is available NOW for PRE SALE at diamondsupplyco.com (link in bio) and the shoes will ship by Feb 15th to the first 500 people who buy a pair. I am proud to skate for and support a shoe company that is designed, owned and operated by skateboarders” – Torey Pudwill

This announcement is just the latest shake-up in skateboarding sponsorship. 2015 saw an unprecedented change in sponsors among the top level pros including Nyjah Huston moving from DC Shoes to Nike SB, Guy Mariano leaving Lakai for Nike SB, and both Guy and Eric Koston leaving Girl Skateboards to start their own brand. Couple that with Chris Cole signing with Plan B Skateboards and Mikey Taylor heading over to SOVRN and you have some of the highest level of turnover among major names in the history of skateboarding.

With rumors ramped that Marc Johnson may soon be leaving Lakai for adidas Skateboarding, 2016 may prove to be as volatile as 2015. Stay tuned for more info. Congrats to Torey Pudwill, Brandon Biebel, Nick Tucker, and Diamond Supply Co. on this big move.
