Recently Enjoi Skateboards celebrated their 15 years of being a company. Fifteen years is a long time, and it’s even longer in skateboarding. To put it into perspective, the A-Team, the brand that was a sort of precursor to Enjoi Skateboards, lasted for three years—from 1997 to 2000. So when one-time A-Team rider Marc Johnson created Enjoi Skateboards with Dwindle Distribution, he likely wasn’t thinking 10-plus years down the road.
Nonetheless, the company—whose team has included riders as varied as Rodney Mullen and Bobby Puleo—survived the departures of Marc, Jerry Hsu, and brand manager Matt Eversole. And it’s still vital.
A couple of weeks ago, Transworld Skateboarding posted its Enjoi Skateboards documentary in parts. Now it’s online in its one-hour entirety. So if you haven’t seen it yet, or you just want to soak in 60 minutes of skate nerdery on a weekend afternoon, watch the story of Enjoi Skateboards now.
