Under the sunny Barcelona sky, Nyjah Huston won yet another Street League competition beating out P-Rod by scoring an 8.5 on the final trick of the event. Talk about drama. Ryan Sheckler looked like he would make it into the finals by dropping some pretty heavy hammers in the prelims, but was held up with an ankle injury. The finals included Nyjah Huston, Paul Rodriguez, Sean Malto, Torey Pudwill, Manny Santiago, Chris Cole, Mikey Taylor, and Luan Oliveira. The newest Converse pro, Zered Bassett, rips his way through the streets of Boston with Nick Trapasso and Eli Reed before taking the crew out on a lobster hunt in his hometown of Cape Cod Massachusetts. Super stoked that Cons picked up Zered, the homie shreds.

Most skateboarders believe skateboarding is art. Well the San Francisco Jazz Center (SFJAZZ) agrees. SFJAZZ and Thrasher Magazine organized a few performances around skateboarding set to jazz music. Longtime friends Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day and Jim Thiebaud Co-Founder of REAL Skateboards have always talked about doing something together and the time and cause for this effective collaboration was just right. As a result, Actions REALized X Green Day decks to benefit Children’s Hospital and Research Center Oakland have been released.

A portion of the proceeds from these special decks will be donated to Children’s Hospital and Research Center Oakland. Children’s Hospital and Research Center Oakland is the Bay Area’s only independent children’s hospital. For over 100 years, its mission has been to take care of every child who needs help, regardless of ability to pay. Hats off and high fives to all of those that put in the effort to pull this off for these kids in need of support.
